Wart Treatments

Warts are commonly seen as lumps of skin. They are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). Warts are usually seen in children but it is normal to see it at any age. Warts have a rough skin color. You can get warts from direct contact with a person’s skin or contaminated surfaces in public places like swimming pools or gyms.

Genital warts are caused by a different HPV. Genital warts are sexually transmitted and can cause serious health problems like cervical and vulval cancer. Freezing warts, burning, laser treatment, and immunotherapy are some of the treatments used to heal warts.

The Athlete’s Foot

An athlete’s foot is a common infection that occurs in the feet and is caused by fungi. The most common symptom of the athlete’s foot is itchy white patches between the toes. It is also very common to see sore and flaky patches on the feet. There can be cracks and fleeting on the feet as well.

Creams, sprays, and powders are used for the athlete’s foot treatment. To avoid the athlete’s foot, always dry your feet after washing them, especially between the toes. Use a separate towel, take your shoes at home, and wear clean, cotton socks daily.

Ultherapy

Ultherapy is a strong alternative to facelift as a non-surgical procedure. In this procedure which lasts between 30 and 90 minutes, ultrasound technology is used to tighten the skin. Ultherapy aims to prevent signs of aging like skin sagging, wrinkles and on the face, neck, and chest. Other targeted body parts of that procedure are eyebrows and decolletage. Ultherapy targets the areas and ultrasound energy stimulates collagen and elastic tissue. As a result, firmer skin, fewer wrinkles, and less sagging occur on the face. Some advantages of therapy are there is only minimal preparation for the procedure as well as minimal recovery time mostly.

The Golden Needle

Golden needle or radiofrequency micro-needling is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency waves to renew the skin of the face. The treatment uses a controlled skin injury technic. The aim here is to create healthy skin by stimulating the growth of healthy cells after skin damage.

After golden needle treatment, the skin grows faster, thicker, and smoother. Some targeted areas where that treatment is applied can be lined up as below:

  • Wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Fine lines
  • Loose and sagged skin

The Youth Vaccine

The youth vaccine is an anti-aging procedure aiming to reduce the signs of aging. It is a non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure. A sort of local anesthetic cream is applied before the youth vaccine procedure and the youth vaccine is injected into your skin.

The youth vaccine contains hyaluronic acid. It is an important building block of the human body. The signs of aging occur when the level of hyaluronic acid decreases in the body. The youth vaccine keeps that balance and provides a younger look. The Youth vaccine is available for adults over 20 years old.

Spot Treatments

Spot or acne is a very common skin condition. The cause of the spot is clogged pores. Some food like skim milk, whey protein, and sugar may cause spots too. Spots are seen mostly on teenagers and younger adults but it’s not unusual to be seen at any age.

There are spot treatments. Antibiotics, laser, and hormone therapy are some of the commonly used spot treatments. Some habits like washing your face daily, and keeping your hands away from your face may be helpful to avoid spots.

Laser Rejuvenation

Laser rejuvenation or in its other usages “laser skin resurfacing” or “laser resurfacing”  is a facial resurfacing procedure. In this procedure, a laser is used to raise the quality of the face and skin’s look and reduce wrinkles and scars. You can understand if you are a good candidate for laser rejuvenation if you have uneven skin pigmentation, age spots, liver spots, sun-damaged skin, birthmarks, or skin scars.

Talk to your surgeon before the procedure. They will ask about your medical past. Laser rejuvenation is not suitable for everyone. For instance, If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, the procedure will be postponed.

Eyebrow Transplant

Eyebrow transplant is a cosmetic surgical procedure that aims to make your eyebrow look fuller. It is permanent and a life-long procedure. In this procedure scalp or hair grafts are used to replace your eyebrow hairs. 

Eyebrow transplant surgery will reduce the need to use makeup or an eyebrow pencil. If you have lost your eyebrow or want fuller eyebrows you may consider an eyebrow transplant.

In the recovery period from an eyebrow transplant, be very careful when washing your face, especially the operational areas. Do not miss follow-up appointments with your surgeon to see your development. 

Skin Care Programs

The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It is like a shell of the body and its health is important and that can affect other parts of the body. That’s why you should care about your skin. You can use skin care products like There are surgical or non-surgical treatments for your skin care. To remove damaged skin a laser is used in the procedure named laser skin resurfacing.

Dermapen

Dermapen or micro-needling is a cosmetic skin rejuvenation procedure also known as collagen induction therapy that aims to reduce the signs of aging and improves the look of skin. Dermapen stimulates the skin’s ability to repair itself after an injury like a cut or burn. To do that dermapen makes your skin produce more collagen. The procedure also improves the skin's elasticity.

Some benefits of dermapen are:

  • Smoothing skin color tone
  • Make skin more elastic
  • Reduces lines and wrinkles
  • Reduces scars and acne scars

An average dermapen session is about two hours. After six sessions you can realize the result of dermapen.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a procedure aiming to rejuvenate and tighten skin. This procedure is found by a French doctor, Michael Pistor in 1952. Mesotherapy uses injections that contain hormones, vitamins, enzymes, and plant extracts. It is a non-surgical alternative to liposuction.

Some fields that mesotherapy used are:

  • Removing fat in the body parts such as the stomach, buttocks, hips, legs, arms, and face.
  • Tightening the skin

During the procedure, the injections are given from one to four mm depth into the skin. The depth depends on the patient’s condition. Injections place only a tiny drop of solution into the skin.

Chemical Peeling

Chemical peeling is a procedure that aims to remove the top layers of the skin. To do that a chemical solution is applied to the skin. Chemical peeling which is a skin resurfacing procedure may have several sessions to get the best result for your skin. After the procedure, the skin that grows back is smoother.

The types of chemical peeling can be lined up as below:

  • Light chemical peeling
  • Medium chemical peeling
  • Deep chemical peeling

Chemical peeling has some side effects such as changes in skin color, swelling, scarring, redness, and infection.

Skin Blemishes

A skin blemish is a mark, spot, or discoloration on the skin. If they are on the face it may be more disturbing for the person. As most skin blemishes are not dangerous, some of them might be a sign of skin cancer. The causes of skin blemishes are different. Viruses, infections, sun exposure, clogged pores, and even your diet and medications can be one of these reasons.

Some of the skin blemishes are:

  • Acne
  • Papules
  • Nodules
  • Skin cancer
  • Melasma
  • Birthmarks
  • Cysts
  • Scars

If skin blemishes start bleeding or you realize a change in color and size, you should see a doctor.

Ingrown Nail Treatment

An ingrown nail is a condition that l may cause your daily life activities like standing or walking much harder. It occurs when the toenail grows down into the skin.  It usually affects the big toe. If your ingrown toenail is infected or you have diabetes, you should see a doctor.

It is possible that anyone can get an ingrown nail.

In most cases, ingrown nail heals without surgery. In some cases, a procedure called “nail avulsion” is needed and the surgeon partly or completely removes the toenail.
